What the July 2026 annex shows
Unofficial translation. The ministry annex is in Greek. Only the Greek text is authoritative.
The Hellenic Ministry of Migration and Asylum’s July 2026 legal-migration statistical annex (Annex B) includes tables on permanent-investor residence permits (Golden Visa).
For active initial permanent-investor permits, the annex lists China (ΚΙΝΑ) with 12,485 permits — 47.5% of that stock. The same annex shows initial applications for permanent-investor permits totalling 7,021 in calendar year 2025 and 3,086 in 2026 through July.
Those are stock and flow figures from the ministry PDF. They describe the programme’s nationality mix and recent filing volume; they do not, by themselves, change any holder’s status.
Enforcement remarks (REPORTED)
As reported in Greek press on 15 October 2026, the migration minister said Golden Visa permits would be revoked where arrangements push the real purchase price below the legal minimum, or where a ban on short-term letting is bypassed through subleases. We have not verified a matching ministry press release today; until a primary government text is located, treat that line as REPORTED only. We refer to the officeholder by role, not by personal commentary.
Separately, on 21 April 2026 the ministry’s General Secretariat for Migration Policy issued Circular 1 (72019/21.04.26), a set of clarifications on applying Article 100 of Law 5038/2023 (the investor residence permit). Clarification 7 explains that property acquired for an investor permit may not be let short-term in the sharing economy or sublet, with a short-term lease defined as one of less than sixty (60) days. Clarification 23 says suspected misleading advertising or unjustified transfers of funds will be referred to the competent tax, law-enforcement and anti-money-laundering authorities. We opened the circular itself (VERIFIED). It predates the 15 October remarks and is not their source.
